no the mouse trap excersise is more for speed and accuracy rather then conditioning.

Here are the basics of the whip. relax your wrist and hand to warm up sling your hand back and forth so to use only your wrist joint to move your hand. No I am not suggesting you start out your training on bags filled with Nuts/bolts etc. Smile However once you have perfected the whip on a regular pad or bag then yes shortly there after you should move into conditioning. More advanced training uses Rat and Mouse Traps this is for speed. After this ...

The four bags smaller bags can be about the size of boxing speed bags. The larger bag should be the size of a mid sized punching bag.

You condition your hands and finger tips by whipping the bags and performing your rolling hits on each bag.

Lenny Howie

I trained under Sifu Lenny Howie from 1993 until his death. I then began training with his cousin Tony in Tampa Florida and continue my training today.

Lenny is missed he was not only a teacher but a dear friend as well.
